Welcome to my English 102 E-Portfolio. My name is Holly and I am currently a senior in high school. I look forward to taking English Composition and working with all of you. I am very eager to become a more advanced writer and expand my knowledge and skills in writing. My academic interests revolve around the medical field and nursing. Some of my favorite classes include Human Anatomy and Biology. In addition to my academics, I play basketball for my high school team and am a member of National Honors Society and Key Club. In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends and family. I have three brothers, two of which are older and one younger. I also have many cousins and nephews that I am very close with. I love being part of a big family.

I really enjoy learning about the human body and how it functions, but I also have an interest in writing. This course will allow me to learn more about being a successful writer and the writing process. A short term goal of mine is to earn college credit and gain the necessary skills for writing. My long term goal is to remember what I learn as a writer and use it in my future, both for college and my career. I am planning on attending ASU in the fall of 2019 to pursue my passion for medicine, and what I take from this class will be a great benefit to my learning. I am very excited for what this class has to offer.

I am a reader, writer, and critical thinker. The ability to write is a very essential skill to have, and has always been very important throughout my education. I am looking forward to expanding these skills and continuing to learn in order to advance as a writer. Throughout this project, I strive to be stronger in my research and expand my knowledge in childhood obesity. I hope to educate others within my community and provide them with the facts, to influence them into changing their personal lifestyle, physically and mentally. My goal for this project, as a researcher and writer is to better understand my topic and find a way to present to my audience the information I found.
